HF is a ceramic OEM replacement for any motorcycle not equipped with sinter metal pads. The SBS application guide will show the recommended compound for each application. The HF compound is very long lasting, rotor friendly and performs well in all conditions. HF is made using NRS technology which SBS spearheaded back in 2001. NRS eliminates the use of glue and creates a virtually unbreakable bond between the friction material and the backing plate. As with all SBS compounds meant for street use, HF meets TUV, ABE and ECE standards.

Bedding-in: this is a particularly important procedure for all compounds. The pads are bedded in by applying the brakes lightly several times and ending with a firm bite, leaving a pause between one squeeze and the next. This will produce the correct heating and cooling cycle needed to prepare the system. The duration of the bedding-in period depends on the type of compound: generally longer for organic compounds than for sintered.
