Description
Ferodo Platinum. This 'Non-Asbestos' organic compound provides the ‘soft' controlled braking force which is suitable for street and off-road applications.
- Highest coefficient of friction (braking force) available in an organic road friction material.
- Thermal underlay applied between backplate and friction material = less heat transfer
- Zinc alloy coated backplate – reduced corrosion and eliminates piston sticking
- Providing the 'soft' feel required by conservative riders
- Bedding-in of material required
- Performs equally well in wet and dry conditions
- Suitable for MX and Off-Road if a non sintered pad is required
- Excellent for front and rear
- Suitable for use with cast iron or stainless steel discs

1. Click here to view the latest Ferodo Application Guide, then look up your Make / Model / year bike to find the correct Ferodo Part Number. It will look something like FDB312P. The letter at the end denotes the pad type, for example FDB312P = Platinum, or FDB312ST = Sintergrip
ST = Sintergrip
SG = Sintergrip Off Road
P = Platinum
EF = Eco Friction
AG = Argento
CP1 = Race
STAC = Array Cooling (Track Day)
XRAC = Array Cooling (Race)
2. Now you have the Part Number!

Please note: If we do not have the pad you are looking for please contact us with your motorcycle's make / model / year and we will find it for you.
Please note: Product photos may not represent the exact shape of the pad listed - please check the technical drawing in the pics for exact pad shape.
Bedding-in: this is a particularly important procedure for all compounds. The pads are bedded in by applying the brakes lightly several times and ending with a firm bite, leaving a pause between one squeeze and the next. This will produce the correct heating and cooling cycle needed to prepare the system. The duration of the bedding-in period depends on the type of compound: generally longer for organic compounds than for sintered.
