Fitting Braided Brake Lines to a bike with ABS Brakes requires more than just one brake line per caliper. Typically, if your bike has an ABS (Antilock Braking System), it will have around 5 to 7  brake lines. If you want to swap to braided lines all of these lines will need to be replaced in order for the ABS to function correctly. The downside of this is that the costs are higher for the brake line kit, usually around $300.00 - $600.00. Plus there are extra costs involved in fitting to consider. If your bikes has an ABS braking you will need to contact us or call is with your make / model / year for a quote.

Please note: Twin Disc front end bikes
All HEL brake line kits for Twin Disc front end bikes are supplied (unless requested otherwise) as two separate lines from the master cylinder to each front calliper and NOT one line to a splitter as some factory bikes are delivered. This is because the two-line configuration provides superior braking and performance.
 

Kits include everything required to fit, including brake lines, banjo bolts, washers etc

FAQ -

Please note - HEL coloured banjo bolts are painted, not anodized.  Painted banjo bolts can scratch easily if not installed carefully and require more care over time than plain Stainless Steel banjo bolts. Please be sure to carefully consider whether you want coloured banjo bolts that require more care, or stainless steel banjo bolts that are much easier to keep clean and maintain.

Do I need to upgrade front and rear lines or should I just do the fronts?
Answer -
In a racing/performance application, the front brakes on your motorcycle are used for almost 100% of the braking so it is not essential to upgrade the rear line. Factory rear lines are more than suitable for the little amount of use they get. However, if you are the type of person that likes to have a full matched set, it's only another $70.00 for the rear line and it certainly won't hurt! Plus it looks great!
