Description
Ferodo Platinum. This 'Non-Asbestos' organic compound provides the ‘soft' controlled braking force which is suitable for street and off-road applications.
- Highest coefficient of friction (braking force) available in an organic road friction material.
- Thermal underlay applied between backplate and friction material = less heat transfer
- Zinc alloy coated backplate – reduced corrosion and eliminates piston sticking
- Providing the 'soft' feel required by conservative riders
- Bedding-in of material required
- Performs equally well in wet and dry conditions
- Suitable for MX and Off-Road if a non sintered pad is required
- Excellent for front and rear
- Suitable for use with cast iron or stainless steel discs

Not in the list above? How to find the right pads for your bike?
1. Click here to view the latest Ferodo Application Guide, then look up your Make / Model / year bike to find the correct Ferodo Part Number. It will look something like FDB312P. The letter at the end denotes the pad type, for example FDB312P = Platinum, or FDB312ST = Sintergrip
ST = Sintergrip
SG = Sintergrip Off Road
P = Platinum
EF = Eco Friction
AG = Argento
CP1 = Race
STAC = Array Cooling (Track Day)
XRAC = Array Cooling (Race)
2. Now you have the Part Number!
You can look up the correct pad on our store by searching for your Part Number. If you cannot find the pad listed on our site, don't worry we can get it for you. The Australian Ferodo supplier is literally 5 mins from our door so we can pick up your pads and ship them super fast! Simply Contact Us and let us know your bike's make / model / year and Ferodo Part Number and we will let you know price and availability
Please note: You will need to order 1 set per calliper for Twin Disk front end. If you have twin rotors you will need to order 2 X sets of pads.
Please note: If we do not have the pad you are looking for please contact us with your motorcycle's make / model / year and we will find it for you.
Please note: Product photos may not represent the exact shape of the pad listed - please check the technical drawing in the pics for exact pad shape.
Bedding-in: this is a particularly important procedure for all compounds. The pads are bedded in by applying the brakes lightly several times and ending with a firm bite, leaving a pause between one squeeze and the next. This will produce the correct heating and cooling cycle needed to prepare the system. The duration of the bedding-in period depends on the type of compound: generally longer for organic compounds than for sintered.
